How to Get GoHighLevel Cheaper: Every Legit Option Compared
Every legitimate way to pay less for GoHighLevel: annual billing, trials, the right plan, agency sub-accounts and white-label providers, with real costs.
By Adam Mosselson, Director, Neelo DigitalUpdated 9 min read
The cheapest legitimate way for a single business to use GoHighLevel is to get a sub-account from a white-label provider instead of buying an agency plan yourself. GoHighLevel sells agency plans at $97, $297 and $497 a month; a white-label provider such as Signal2Sale runs those plans and gives you your own sub-account from $50 a month, with most of our clients paying around $150. If you want to buy direct, paying annually and picking the right plan are the two other savings that actually work.
We set up GoHighLevel for service businesses every week at Neelo Digital, and "can I get this cheaper?" is the question we hear most. Below is every option we know of that's legal and within GoHighLevel's rules, what each one really costs per month, and the catch with each. No coupon codes, because there aren't any worth having.
Prices in this guide
GoHighLevel's official pricing page lists Starter at $97/month or $970/year, Unlimited at $297/month or $2,970/year, and Agency Pro at $497/month or $4,970/year, all in US dollars. Usage such as SMS, calls, email and AI is billed on top. We checked these figures in October 2026; GoHighLevel changes pricing from time to time, so confirm on its site before you buy.
Every way to get GoHighLevel cheaper, compared
Here's the whole picture in one table. "Realistic monthly cost" is the subscription only. Usage (texts, calls, emails, AI) comes on top in every row, and we cover how to keep that down further on.
| Option | Realistic monthly cost | Good | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter, paid monthly | $97 | Your own agency account, full control | You build everything yourself; no phone or email rebilling |
| Starter, paid annually | About $81 ($970 a year) | Cheapest way to buy direct | A year paid upfront; only saves money if you're still using it in month 12 |
| Unlimited, paid annually | About $248 ($2,970 a year) | Unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling | Built for agencies; most single businesses never use the extras |
| Free trial | $0 for 14 days (30 on some partner offers) | Test before paying | Card required; it becomes a normal plan when the trial ends |
| Sub-account from a friend's or freelancer's agency | Whatever they charge | Can be very cheap | They own the account; no support or exit plan if they stop |
| White-label provider (e.g. Signal2Sale) | From $50; most clients around $150 | Setup done for you, support included, month-to-month | You can't create or resell your own sub-accounts |
The rest of this guide goes through each option in the order most people should consider them.
Why is a white-label sub-account cheaper than buying direct?
GoHighLevel is built for agencies. Every plan, even Starter, is an agency account that holds "sub-accounts", and each sub-account is the full CRM for one business: its contacts, inbox, calendars, pipelines, funnels and automations. Starter allows up to three sub-accounts; Unlimited and Agency Pro allow as many as you like, according to GoHighLevel's pricing page.
A local business only ever needs one sub-account. When you buy direct, you pay for an agency licence and use a fraction of it. A white-label provider pays for the agency licence once and spreads it across many businesses, each in its own separate sub-account. That's why the same software can cost you $50 to $150 a month instead of $97 to $497.
This is the model GoHighLevel itself is designed around, not a loophole. Its help centre documents how agencies resell and rebill services to their sub-accounts, and the $497 Agency Pro plan exists mainly so agencies can run their own branded software business. We explain the mechanics in more depth in white-label GoHighLevel vs buying direct.
What you give up
Be clear-eyed about this. With a white-label sub-account you don't get the agency dashboard, so you can't spin up more sub-accounts, resell GoHighLevel to your own clients or turn on SaaS mode. If you plan to start an agency, buy direct. If you want to run one business on GoHighLevel, you don't need any of that.
Should you pay annually?
If you're buying direct and you're sure you'll use it for a year, yes. Annual billing on GoHighLevel's pricing page works out like this:
- Starter: $970 a year instead of $1,164 (12 × $97). You save $194, about 17%.
- Unlimited: $2,970 a year instead of $3,564. You save $594.
- Agency Pro: $4,970 a year instead of $5,964. You save $994.
That's roughly two months free. The risk is the obvious one: the money is gone on day one. We'd only recommend annual billing once you've used GoHighLevel for a couple of months and know it's staying. Paying a year upfront for software you haven't set up yet is how a lot of businesses end up with an expensive login nobody uses.
Are you on the right GoHighLevel plan?
The most common overspend we see isn't missing a discount. It's businesses paying for Agency Pro because a YouTube video said it was the "real" plan. Here's the honest guide:
- Starter ($97): enough for one business that wants the CRM, calendars, inbox, funnels and workflows. It doesn't let you rebill phone and email usage to clients, which a single business doesn't need anyway.
- Unlimited ($297): for agencies managing more than three clients. It adds unlimited sub-accounts and rebilling of phone and email at cost.
- Agency Pro ($497): for agencies that want to sell GoHighLevel as their own software, with SaaS mode and the ability to mark up usage. Rebilling with a markup is only available on this plan, per GoHighLevel's rebilling guide.
If you're one business and you're on Unlimited or Agency Pro, you're almost certainly paying for features you'll never touch. Our GoHighLevel pricing guide breaks down each plan in more detail.
Can a free trial save you money?
A trial helps you decide; it doesn't make GoHighLevel cheaper. The standard offer is a 14-day free trial, and GoHighLevel hosts a number of partner pages that offer 30 days instead, such as this 30-day trial page. These partner pages are part of GoHighLevel's affiliate programme, so the person sharing the link usually earns a commission. That's fine, as long as you know.
In both cases you add a card at sign-up and you're charged the plan price when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Two things to plan for:
- Setup eats the trial. Connecting a phone number, registering for business texting, building calendars and writing workflows takes most people longer than 14 days. Decide what you're testing before you start.
- Usage isn't free during the trial. Texts, calls and emails still cost money from your wallet.
We don't run a free trial at Signal2Sale. Instead we do a 15-minute call where we show you the system built for a business like yours and give you a fixed monthly quote.
What about sharing an agency account?
Plenty of people get GoHighLevel cheaply because a friend, a freelancer or their marketing agency adds them as a sub-account on the agency's plan. Technically, that is the white-label model. It can work well, and it can go badly. Before you agree, ask:
- Who owns the account? The agency does. If they stop paying GoHighLevel, close their account or fall out with you, your CRM goes with them.
- Can you leave with your data? GoHighLevel supports transferring a sub-account to another agency, but the current agency has to start it. Get that promise in writing.
- How is usage billed? Ask whether texts, calls and email are passed on at cost or marked up, and by how much.
- Who fixes things? A freelancer doing you a favour isn't going to answer a broken workflow on a Saturday.
Never share a login to someone else's sub-account or agency dashboard. It's a security problem, it mixes your customers' data with theirs and it breaks the moment they change a password.
How do you keep GoHighLevel usage costs down?
On every plan, sending and calling cost extra. According to GoHighLevel's phone system pricing guide, US and Canadian SMS costs $0.00747 per segment, inbound and outbound, and outbound US calls cost $0.0126 a minute, with carrier fees on top. Its pricing and billing guide lists email at $0.675 per 1,000 and email verification at $2.50 per 1,000. Premium workflow actions cost $0.01 per execution after 100 free ones per sub-account, per the premium workflow guide.
For most small businesses those numbers stay small. They grow when automations are badly built. The fixes we apply on every account:
- Keep texts short. SMS is charged per segment, so a message that spills into a second segment costs double. Emoji and some special characters reduce how much fits in a segment.
- Stop sequences when people reply or book. A follow-up workflow that keeps texting someone who already booked wastes money and annoys them. Every workflow we build has a goal that ends it.
- Clean your list before a big email send. Bounces hurt deliverability, and verification is cheaper than a damaged sending domain.
- Only switch on the AI features you'll use. AI add-ons are priced per sub-account. Turn on one, measure it, then decide.
Our list of 10 sales automation workflows shows the triggers and stop conditions we use, and email vs SMS vs WhatsApp covers which channel to use for which message, which matters for cost as much as response rates.
What doesn't work
- "GoHighLevel coupon codes". GoHighLevel's pricing page doesn't advertise discount codes. In our experience, "coupon" pages lead to the standard trial or a partner trial page, not a lower monthly price.
- Lifetime deals and cracked copies. GoHighLevel is a hosted service. Anything sold as a one-off "lifetime" licence by a third party is, at best, a sub-account someone can switch off.
- Downgrading to save money mid-build. Moving from Unlimited to Starter is fine only if you have three or fewer sub-accounts and don't rely on rebilling. Check before you switch.
So which option should you pick?
Our honest recommendation, by situation:
- You're starting or running an agency: buy direct. Start on Starter or Unlimited, go annual once you're sure, and only move to Agency Pro when you're ready to resell it as software.
- You're one business and like building things: Starter, monthly at first, then annual. Budget a few weekends for setup.
- You're one business and want it working without the build: use a white-label provider. With Signal2Sale you get your own GoHighLevel sub-account from $50 a month (most clients pay around $150), usage at cost, unlimited users and contacts, and done-for-you setup by Neelo Digital. It's month-to-month and billed in USD, or in rand for South African businesses.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest GoHighLevel plan?
GoHighLevel's cheapest direct plan is Starter at $97 a month, or $970 a year if you pay annually, which works out at about $81 a month. A sub-account from a white-label provider can cost less: Signal2Sale starts from $50 a month, with most clients paying around $150 including done-for-you setup and support.
Are there GoHighLevel coupon codes?
Not that lower the monthly price. GoHighLevel's pricing page doesn't advertise discount codes, and most 'coupon' pages online are affiliate links to the standard 14-day trial or a 30-day partner trial. The real savings come from annual billing, choosing the right plan, or using a white-label sub-account.
Is a white-label GoHighLevel sub-account the same software?
Yes. A white-label sub-account runs on GoHighLevel itself, with the same CRM, inbox, calendars, pipelines, funnels and workflows. The difference is that the provider holds the agency plan and you get one sub-account for your business, so you don't get agency-only tools like creating more sub-accounts or SaaS mode.
Can I move my existing GoHighLevel account to a cheaper provider?
Usually, yes. GoHighLevel supports transferring a sub-account from one agency to another, and providers can also rebuild your setup from a snapshot and import contacts and pipelines. If you're on someone else's agency account, the current agency has to start a transfer, so agree an exit plan with them before you need it.
How much does GoHighLevel usage cost on top of the plan?
It depends on volume. GoHighLevel lists US and Canadian SMS at $0.00747 per segment and outbound US calls at $0.0126 a minute plus carrier fees, email at $0.675 per 1,000, and premium workflow actions at $0.01 each after 100 free. For most small businesses that adds a modest amount each month.
